PERURI reinforces governance, risk management and compliance as part of its digital transformation strategy, earning a five-star rating and Golden Trophy at TOP GRC Awards 2026.

JAKARTA — As digital transformation accelerates across Southeast Asia, strong governance, risk management and compliance are becoming increasingly important for organisations managing critical digital services. Indonesia’s PERURI is strengthening its GRC framework as part of its transformation into a high-security technology company.

PERURI recently maintained its five-star rating at the TOP GRC Awards 2026 and received the Golden Trophy in recognition of its consistent performance over several years. The award was presented at the TOP GRC Awards 2026 ceremony at Hotel Raffles Jakarta on 9 September 2026.

At the same event, Farah Fitria Rahmayanti, PERURI’s Director of Technology, Information and Risk Management, received The Most Committed GRC Leader 2026 award. The recognition reflects the company’s continued emphasis on integrating governance and risk management into its business and transformation agenda.

For PERURI, Governance, Risk Management and Compliance is positioned beyond regulatory compliance. The company considers GRC an important component of decision-making, risk management, business resilience and the sustainability of its corporate transformation.

This approach is particularly relevant to PERURI’s role as an institution assigned to serve as Indonesia’s GovTech. The responsibility requires the organisation to operate in an agile, flexible and dynamic manner while supporting the acceleration of national digital public services.

The challenge is to maintain that agility without compromising security and accountability. PERURI addresses this through a Security and Privacy by Design approach in service development, while also integrating system-based risk management.

Such an approach places security and privacy considerations within the development process rather than treating them solely as post-development controls. For organisations operating critical digital infrastructure, this integration can become an important element of maintaining trust while expanding digital services.

Farah said PERURI continues to strengthen GRC so that it becomes increasingly integrated with corporate strategy and business processes. She described GRC as part of the foundation for decision-making and corporate strategy, particularly as technology develops and risk dynamics become more complex.

From a regional perspective, the development reflects a broader challenge faced by digital organisations across ASEAN: balancing innovation, speed, regulatory requirements and information security. As governments and businesses expand digital services, governance frameworks need to evolve alongside technological capabilities.

PERURI’s experience also illustrates how risk management can be incorporated into a wider digital transformation programme. Rather than separating innovation from control mechanisms, the company seeks to integrate risk considerations into its technology and business processes.

The company’s latest TOP GRC recognition comes amid a broader transformation agenda. PERURI has described itself as a high-security technology company, with developments in its business portfolio and technology utilisation creating a need for integrated governance capable of addressing increasingly complex risks.

For Southeast Asian economies pursuing digital transformation, the relationship between innovation and governance remains an important consideration. Digital growth requires not only technological capability, but also systems that support accountability, security, compliance and long-term resilience.

PERURI’s continued recognition at the TOP GRC Awards 2026 therefore provides a corporate example of how governance can be positioned alongside innovation. Its approach connects risk management and compliance with the broader objective of maintaining sustainable transformation in an increasingly digital environment.
