Jakarta, Indonesia – PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk has reaffirmed its leadership in Islamic banking by securing 14 awards for service excellence from Infobank. The accolades span both branch-based and digital services, positioning the bank as a model of customer-centric Sharia banking within the ASEAN region.
Among the recognitions, Bank Muamalat received the prestigious “Diamond” ranking for The Best Sharia Conventional Bank in Service Excellence for 15 Consecutive Years—an unbroken track record since 2010. This distinction underscores the bank’s sustained efforts in delivering reliable, ethical, and customer-oriented financial services under Sharia principles.
Dedy Suryadi Dharmawan, SEVP of Operations at Bank Muamalat, expressed his gratitude for the recognition. “This achievement reflects the collective commitment of all Muamalat personnel who place service excellence at the heart of everything we do,” Dedy stated in a written release on Tuesday (24 June 2025).
He emphasized that these awards affirm the importance of human touch in the banking experience, especially as the bank continues to expand its digital capabilities. “Empathetic service at the branch level remains crucial to balance the scale of digital transformation,” he said.
The digital transformation of Bank Muamalat has gained significant traction. The mobile banking platform, Muamalat DIN, now serves over half a million users. Meanwhile, the bank operates 227 branches—including an international branch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia—enhancing its regional presence and connectivity.
Bank Muamalat also offers widespread ATM access, including facilities in Kuala Lumpur, supporting cross-border banking convenience for its customers in both Indonesia and the broader ASEAN landscape.
The bank’s achievements align with its newly articulated vision: Jalan Hijrah Menuju Berkah (The Path of Hijrah Towards Blessing). This vision reaffirms Bank Muamalat’s commitment to becoming the leading Sharia-based financial solution provider across business ecosystems, aiming for sustainable financial performance and holistic prosperity.
As Islamic banking continues to expand its footprint in Southeast Asia, Bank Muamalat’s performance reflects not only domestic excellence but also its strategic relevance in regional Sharia-compliant finance initiatives.
