Hanoi — Vietnam has once again affirmed its position as one of Asia’s most compelling destinations, securing multiple top rankings in the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards 2025.

The country was voted 6th among the world’s friendliest nations with a score of 97.27, reflecting the warmth and hospitality that international visitors consistently highlight. Vietnam also ranked 9th among the world’s top 10 most attractive destinations, surpassing several established tourism powerhouses.

In addition, Vietnam earned 4th place globally for culinary experiences, with a score of 96.67. Its cuisine—celebrated for freshness, diversity, and cultural storytelling—was praised as an authentic gateway to understanding the nation’s heritage.

The recognition comes as Vietnam continues to expand its international tourism footprint. In 2024, the country welcomed nearly 18 million international visitors, drawn by its pristine landscapes, ancient towns, and vibrant cultural traditions. Improved air connectivity through new flight routes has further boosted accessibility.

Condé Nast Traveller highlighted Vietnam’s unique “sidewalk culture,” where curbside food vendors, community exercise groups, and barbers form part of the daily rhythm of urban life. The magazine also spotlighted the Ha Giang Loop, a four‑day motorbike journey through dramatic mountain valleys, as a must‑experience adventure.

Vietnam’s tourism authority emphasized that these accolades not only reflect the nation’s natural and cultural assets but also its growing reputation as a destination that blends authenticity with modern hospitality.

With global recognition across friendliness, attractiveness, and gastronomy, Vietnam is poised to strengthen its role as a leading tourism hub in ASEAN and beyond.
