Jakarta — The Government of Central Kalimantan has been recognized nationally for its commitment to public health and child nutrition. Governor H. Agustiar Sabran received the 2025 KompasTV Award for Regional Commitment to Health and Nutrition, presented in Jakarta on September 11, 2025.

The award highlights the province’s initiatives to expand healthcare access, improve facilities, and promote balanced nutrition campaigns for children. These programs are designed to reach even the most remote communities, ensuring that no family is left behind.

Governor Sabran emphasized that the recognition reflects the collective effort of provincial agencies and local communities. “This award is not only for the government but for all people of Central Kalimantan who support our mission to build a healthier generation,” he said.

The Ministry of Housing and Settlement praised the province’s integrated approach, noting that Central Kalimantan has become a model for aligning local development with national health priorities.

Observers see the award as part of a broader regional trend in Southeast Asia, where local governments are increasingly recognized for innovative approaches to social development. By prioritizing child nutrition and healthcare, Central Kalimantan contributes to ASEAN’s shared vision of sustainable human capital growth.

The recognition also strengthens Indonesia’s role in regional cooperation on health and social welfare, underscoring how local leadership can drive progress toward the ASEAN Community Vision 2025.
