Jakarta – A remarkable achievement has been inscribed in the annals of education as Yayasan Bejana Kasih Bumi Papua, Yogyakarta, proudly receives the #1 Most Recommended School Award 2025 at the prestigious 1.0 Award Trends 2025. Hosted by Indonesia Award Magazine, the grand ceremony took place at Grand Mercure Hotel Kemayoran, Jakarta, on January 18, 2025, marking a significant recognition for the institution’s relentless dedication to advancing education and empowering the youth of Papua Barat Daya.
The award was presented by GP Rajasa Pranadewa, Chairman of the Event, to Nerius Albertus Tulalessy, Chairman of Yayasan Bejana Kasih Bumi Papua, amidst a distinguished gathering of leaders from various sectors. With heartfelt gratitude and immense pride, Nerius addressed the audience, stating, “This award is more than just recognition; it is a testament to the power of education in transforming lives. It symbolizes the dreams, struggles, and aspirations of countless young minds in Papua Barat Daya who now have the chance to pursue a future without limits.”
Yayasan Bejana Kasih Bumi Papua has been at the forefront of groundbreaking initiatives, particularly through the Beasiswa Generasi Emas (Bis Gemas) Vocational Education Program in Japan. This pioneering program, launched in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Papua Barat Daya, is a key priority of Acting Governor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Musa’ad, M.Si., aimed at developing world-class human capital as Indonesia moves toward its Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision.
As a result of this initiative, seven students from Papua Barat Daya have already begun their academic journey at Nippon Academy, Japan, while 15 additional students have successfully passed the selection process and are scheduled for departure in April and July 2025. These scholars underwent extensive training in Yogyakarta, including Japanese language and cultural immersion programs, as well as academic collaborations with Stikes Notokusumo Yogyakarta, equipping them with the necessary skills to excel in an international learning environment.
