Jakarta – Astra, alongside several of its subsidiaries, was once again recognized in the HR Asia Best Companies to Work For in Asia 2025, held on Friday, June 20. This marks the eighth consecutive year Astra has received the prestigious award, reinforcing its status as a regional leader in human capital development and workplace excellence.
In this year’s awards, Astra not only received the primary recognition as one of the Best Companies to Work For in Asia, but also clinched two special distinctions: the HR Asia Sustainable Workplace Award 2025 and the HR Asia Tech Empowerment Award 2025. Several other companies within the Astra Group were also honored, including Toyota Astra Motor, FIFGROUP, Astra Credit Companies, United Tractors, and others.
The HR Asia Awards selection process included over 2.5 million responses across 20,000 companies, with about 25% of the winners also recognized by Fortune Global 500 rankings. These accolades reflect Astra’s long-standing focus on nurturing talent, promoting diversity, and embedding sustainability at the heart of its organizational culture.
“Astra prioritizes the development of quality human resources and embeds a sustainability mindset throughout our business activities,” said Aloysius Budi Santoso, Chief of Corporate Human Capital Development at Astra. He highlighted Astra 2030 Sustainability Aspirations, which guide the company’s long-term strategy under the Astra for Everyone flagship initiative.
This roadmap emphasizes inclusivity, safety, and balanced work-life integration, aiming to shape a competent and forward-thinking workforce in line with Astra’s foundational philosophy, Catur Dharma. The People Roadmap, part of Astra’s broader Triple-P Strategy, further integrates safety systems, occupational health standards, and leadership development programs across all business units.
Key among these initiatives is the Astra Sustainability Academy, a platform dedicated to enhancing employee competencies in ESG principles and equipping them for the transition toward sustainable business practices.
Astra’s commitment to gender equality and diversity is also reflected in the Astra Women Leaders Development Program, which empowers women in leadership and fosters a more inclusive decision-making culture across the organization.
The company’s approach exemplifies a model for how ASEAN enterprises can align sustainable business growth with social impact, workforce empowerment, and inclusive development—goals that closely mirror the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promoted across the region.
As ASEAN businesses face increasing expectations to integrate ESG principles and digital transformation, Astra stands as a testament to the power of long-term commitment to people and sustainability.
